How to feel good about your body
Feeling good about yourself is essential to lasting confidence and happiness, but so many people find themselves struggling to feel good about their own bodies. If you find yourself in a similar position where you don't like the way you look and feel, the first step ins't changing yourself. Rather, it is accepting who you are now so that you can find a way to further improve. Here are some ideas to becoming happy with your body.
#1 Acknowledge what you don't like.
You probably spend a lot of time thinking about what you don't like about yourself if you have a poor body image, but what do you really want to improve? By thinking about things you want to improve that you can work on and change, you'll automatically be setting yourself up for success.
While thinking about your answer, also consider what you cannot easily change so that you can begin to work on accepting those things as part of being uniquely you. It will take time, but it's a critical step that you must take.
#2 List some things you love.
Everyone can find a number of things that they love about themselves, inside and out, if they just take the time to think about it. Perhaps your body shape means you always have slender calves or beautiful curves. Or maybe you have naturally curly hair that always looks ready for the runway. Whatever the case may be, you can surely find some things that you love and don't want to change.
#3 Work on positive self-talk.
Positive self-talk is essential to a good body image. However, most people struggle with negative self-talk where they think or say things that diminish their own confidence and self-worth. Get in the habit of catching yourself when you are using negative self-talk and swap it for something positive instead. Being negative is easy, saying positive things is the real challenge.

#4 Don't compare yourself to others.
Comparing yourself to another person is perhaps one of the worst things you can do when it comes to your confidence and body image. Everyone lives a different lifestyle with a different body type, different genetics, and different preferences. Instead of comparing yourself to someone else, just strive to be better than you were yesterday. Love yourself for who you are, be grateful for where you're at, and strive for improvement each day.
